The Library at St Mary’s is a wonderful space for the whole community to share.

Foundation - Year 6 classes attend weekly library lessons where students are exposed to a variety of new literature. During this time, they borrow from our extensive collections as well as taking part in research and technology tasks.

Parent volunteers are also encouraged to help with the covering of books and shelving. The Library is a busy place indeed!

As a whole school, we participate in the Premier’s Reading Challenge which has become an exciting part of our school calendar, enjoyed by parents and students. We host an annual October Book Fair, which again brings the whole community together and enables us to fundraise for new books to add to our collections.

LEGO Club is organised and supervised by the library teacher as an alternative to playground activities, taking place each week on a Wednesday lunchtime. Students from Foundation  - Year 3 are invited to take part in creating with their peers. The students proudly display their work in the library for all our community to see. LEGO Club has been running for three years and is a big hit with our students.
